Maureen Alexander

Maureen Alexander’s involvement with the Parish began twenty nine years ago when she and her husband enrolled their children at Christ the King School.

She has enjoyed being involved with many ministries over the years and as the co-ordinator of the CTK Care Group is able to put her faith to practical use.

Now retired from a secretarial career at local Secondary Schools and more recently as a Parish Secretary at CTK, Maureen enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and interacting with several groups she belongs to.

Passionate about our Parish and its people, Maureen looks forward to serving the community on the Parish Council and would love to hear from you if she can be of assistance in her role on the Parish Resources and Facilities Committee.

Therese Davies

Therese Davies

My name is Therese Davies. I have been attending Christ the King Parish since 1997.

I have three children, two in high school and one at university. I currently work as a Psychologist with people with intellectual disability.

I have a strong interest in music and play the piano and organ.  I have joined the Youth and Young Adults Committee because I wish to support the youth of our Parish to continue to practice and grow in their faith as they are the future of our church.

I assist with music at CTK and with the piety stall and I am also studying in my spare time.

John DeCourcy

John DeCourcy

John DeCourcy and his wife Sue have been part of CTK parish for over 30 years.

Their 4 girls went through both CTK primary and Mt St Benedict and have now all flown the nest.

John is the ‘retiring’ type, being a ‘retired’ science teacher, Religious Education Coordinator, high school principal and Catholic Education Office Director of Strategy.

He is currently a self-employed educational consultant when he is not being ‘retired’.

He is part of the Promoting our Faith committee.

Peter Elchaar

Peter Elchaar

Peter Elchaar is the Managing Director of Pure Hair Pure Body in Castle Hill, Trichologist (hair ‘Doc’ specialist) and a full time husband/dad to four beautiful kids aged from 11-6 years and a supportive wife, Caroline.

Peter and his family have been part of Christ the King Parish North Rocks since 2009. When not doing hair, Peter loves music and has worked as a DJ for over 25 years in Sydney’s nightclubs and corporate events. Peter loves a BBQ and has been instrumental in gathering others to join in after Sunday mass Smooth brunch. Peter loves a great coffee (with a biscuit or two) and spending time meeting people.

A humbling experience is being part of the parish council to deepen and understand his faith, and share that passion with others. With our largest parish council and Peter as chairman, we are very excited to work closely with the parish and school to communicate, create pathways and engage our community.

So if you see Peter around please make an effort to say “Hi” (before he does) and share some ideas or feedback on how to connect and improve our Christ the King Parish.

Henry Mendes

Henry Mendes

Hello, I’m Henry Mendes and along with my wife of 20 years, Reyna, and our daughters, Erika and Katya, we’ve been CTK parishioners for more than 11 years since moving into the neighbourhood.

I’m an IT software architect by profession predominately working in large projects with a variety of organisations. We’ve been extremely lucky to be part of a close knit family group within the CTK parish community for many years and this experience, along with the wonderful work I see done by many members of our parish has encouraged me to humbly offer to serve as a member of the parish council.

I’ve nominated to be part of the Parish Resources & Facilities sub-committee and I pray that the Good Lord guides me in serving the parish council sufficiently well in executing their plans for the greater good of our parish and the wider community.

I look forward to receiving any feedback that can help us gain a better insight to the needs of our parish, and further cultivate the bonds within our community.

Kerry Saad

Kerry Saad

My name is Kerry Saad. I am a pharmacist who has worked in community pharmacy for the last 38 years, spending the past 15 years at a pharmacy in Oatlands.

My husband James and I have 3 grown children and are expecting our first grandchild later this year. I have been in the parish since it started, and attended mass as a young girl when it first began in the North Rocks community centre. My father was on the first finance committee that was formed to build the Parish church and school. I was married at Christ the King by Father Burton and my children were all baptised in the original church and attended school here.

I have had a long history with Christ the King Parish, watching it grow from an over run scrub filled land into the many buildings that form our parish today. Watching the growth of the parish over many years has given me an understanding of where it has come from and it fills me with great joy to be able to watch it grow into the future.
